Hunter Douglas snaps up Hilarys
Luxaflex parent Hunter Douglas is to buy blinds and flooring retailer Hilarys from its venture capital parent.
Hunter Douglas will pay Ares Capital Corporation £300m for the chain.
In 2016 it had sales of £185m and employed 1,300 people. Hunter Douglas will retain it management. It said the deal would ‘add a strong brand and value offer for a wide customer base to Hunter Douglas in the UK’.
Hunter Douglas owns 130 companies in more than 100 countries and has sales of £2.18bn.
