Meera Syal to host Bed Show gala dinner and awards ceremony

Meera SyalActor, writer and comedian Meera Syal is to host the gala dinner and awards ceremony at next month’s Bed Show.

The event’s eighth dinner and awards will take place on the evening of 19 September at the Telford International Centre, during the Bed Show.
Starring in hit TV shows such as The Kumars at No 42, Syal made her name on the sketch show Goodness Gracious Me. As well as appearing in films from Sammi and Rosie Get Laid to Marvel’s Doctor Strange, she wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed Bhaji on the Beach and also adapted her novels Anita & Me into a film and Life Isn't All Ha Ha Hee Hee into a TV series.
Her TV credits include Doctor Who, Holby City, Absolutely Fabulous and Drop the Dead Donkey. She also collaborated with Andrew Lloyd Webber in the West End production of Bombay Dreams.
