Eve Sleep strengthens physical footprint
Mattress retailer Eve Sleep has strengthened its physical footprint by singing an exclusive stockist agreement with a major German department store chain.
The etailer, which is due to release its half-year figures on Wednesday, will have a display in 79 Karstadt stores from 1 November. Shoppers will be able to buy instore or online.
As part of the deal Karstadt is unable to work with Eve Sleep’s competitors.
The deal echoes that struck with Next in terms of boosting Eve Sleep’s in-store presence.
‘The agreement marks a major development for Eve's European brand awareness and demonstrates our commitment to growing market share in key territories. Germany is the largest mattress market in Europe and the quality, scale and country-wide spread of Karstadt stores across major cities in Germany substantially increases Eve's retail footprint, exposing new customers to our exceptional sleep products and creating an easy route to purchase,’ said Jas Bagniewski, Eve Sleep ceo.
