Workplaces are making people ill

stress-at-workMore than half of workers say their workplace is making them ill. Some 28% of people say that an unpleasant working environment is having a serious detrimental effect on their wellbeing, while another quarter complained it was causing stress.

The survey, commissioned by Dole Live Right, found that many workers are developing bad habits such as eating on junk food and never leaving the building. Half of employees say they never go outside, even at lunchtime.

Pressure of deadlines and the need to be seen to be working hard mean 41% don't go to the toilet when they really need it, while another 47% claim there have been occasions when they haven't gotten a drink when they are thirsty.
