Loeve to head B&Q
Kingfisher has turned to Danish retailer Michael Loeve to run B&Q, highlighting his ability to boost performance by running the business in a more unified way across multiple formats.
Loeve has been group retail director at Coop Danmark since last year, responsible for five store formats. He was previously md at Coop Danmark’s 250-store SuperBrugsen chain. He has a strong track record of leading successful business transformation, through focusing on customer needs whilst remaining close to the operations,’ says Kingfisher.
He will become B&Q ceo in September. ‘We are moving at pace with our One Kingfisher plan to create a single, unified company where customer needs come first.
