Interfloor invests for growth
Underlay, accessories and laminate flooring group Interfloor has invested £3m as it gears up for an increase in demand.
The business has invested more than £3m in improving its manufacturing and logistics capabilities across its sites in Haslingden and Dumfries.
The investment has been designed to address both the seasonal demand surge in September to December and planned growth in the UK and international markets.
‘It’s critically important for our customers that we can meet the demands of the peak season in the UK. We’ve invested in increasing our output and we now hold higher stock levels so that we can maintain our high levels of customer service. In addition to our distribution facilities in Haslingden and Dumfries, we’ve also opened two additional warehouses in Accrington. We still recommend our customers order in good time for the peak period but we’re confident that we can meet their requirements now and in the future,’ says Gary Cowley, Interfloor sales director.
