NDB to move to Decorex
Graduate design competition New Design Britain is to continue, moving to Decorex, following the demise of the May Design Series exhibition.
The awards, which have bridged the gap between education and the industry for the past 14 years, first took place at The Interiors Show before moving to May Design Series in 2014.
‘Following the success of this year’s awards, we are now seeing more support than ever from the industry, and the move to Decorex signifies a step up for the programme. To have the support of a respected event at the heart of the industry will be invaluable to the programme’s future, and we can now look forward to some exciting plans ahead,’ says Allie Little, New Design Britain programme curator.
‘New Design Britain is a valuable asset to the industry, acting as support for talented design graduates to bridge the gap following education. The partnering of New Design Britain graduates with the established community of Decorex will provide an important platform for both young designers and established industry brands to nurture innovation. UBM is proud to support the design industry to ensure a bright future for young design talent,’ says Alison Jackson, UBM EMEA Built Environment portfolio director.
