Making the most of Ambiente

ambiente livingPractical items as everyday aids, innovations with awards, sustainable products distinguished by outstanding design, remarkable product presentations and utensils for professionals – Ambiente from 10 to 14 February makes it easy for companies to present outstanding new products with creative, design-oriented and innovative exhibitors being invited to apply for inclusion on several different platforms.

‘Manufacturers wanting to present their new products to an audience of professionals, especially those from outside Germany, exhibit at Ambiente. Therefore, entering such products for special presentation opportunities, such as Solutions and Design Plus, the Ethical Style Guide, Speed Dating and the Contract Business Guide, is an excellent way to reach trade visitors and the press’, says Nicolette Naumann, Ambiente Vice President.
A treat for the eyes and everyday aids: in the foyer of Hall 4.0, the Solutions exhibition presents clever product ideas for recurring tasks in the kitchen and household. To this end, design follows function to create new experiences for the users. London-based product designer Sebastian Bergne selects the products to be shown at a special show during Ambiente. Participation is free of charge for all exhibitors. However, the products to be shown in February 2017 may not have been launched more than a year before. Entries should be sent to reach Messe Frankfurt no later than 2 December 2016.
Outstanding product design is honoured at Ambiente with the Design Plus label. At Ambiente 2017, the award will focus on sustainability and, accordingly, be oriented solely towards products selected in accordance with the motto Ethical Style. Exhibitors are invited to enter their products for this international and unrivalled competition by 24 November 2016. A prerequisite for inclusion is that the products submitted may not have been on the market for more than two years at the time Ambiente is held. The renowned award has been given annually for aesthetic, functional, ecological and technical qualities for over 30 years. The award-winning products will be on show at a special exhibition in Galleria 1 during Ambiente 2017.
Products and product lines made and marketed in accordance with sustainable and/or ethical principles are very welcome in the Ethical Style Guide of Ambiente. Manufacturers are invited to apply for an entry by 17 November 2016. A jury of eight experts will judge all applications. The guide not only structures the sustainable products to be seen at Ambiente in seven different categories but also lists and provides the locations for all participating exhibitors, who are also marked with a special sign on their stands. Consumer awareness of the interaction of ecological and social aspects is growing. With the Ethical Style Guide, Ambiente is catering for this need for the second time, bringing greater clarity to a highly fragmented market segment and sending out a clear signal to the international consumer-goods stage.
When representatives of the international media pay rapt attention to three-minute presentations and then ask questions about these innovations for two minutes, you can be sure that [email protected] is on the agenda. On the Sunday of the show, 12 February 2017, Ambiente exhibitors can take advantage of this effective way of attracting attention to their products in three thematic blocks for the fifth time running. The themes for 2017 are: 9.30am: ‘Everything relating to handbags’; 10.45am: ‘Everything that belongs on the wall’ and 12pm ‘Everything that belongs in the household’. Messe Frankfurt is accepting entries until 6 January 2017. The choice will be made on a first come, first served basis.
Customising, high-grade complete solutions and innovative concepts are the predominant themes in the contract-business world. The areas of application are many and varied with restaurants and firms of lawyers being just two common examples. Decision makers, such as planners, come to Ambiente to gather information in the Giving, Living and Dining product segments. To give them a better overview, the world’s leading consumer-goods fair is offering a special Contract Business Guide for these visitors; and exhibitors are invited to apply for a place in the guide by 15 November 2016. To this end, they must submit at least three reference products with details of the products used.
