Seven months and 2% to go

SchlossbergMonths ahead of the show textile exhibition Heimtextil is practically sold out, boosted by several companies returning after an absence.

‘Currently, 98% of the space we had at the 2017 event is already booked. The huge demand from our exhibitors has given us a boost when it comes to planning the upcoming Heimtexti,’ said Olaf Schmidt, Messe Frankfurt vice-president textiles & textile technologies.
‘The premium segment of decorative materials in hall 3.1 is also once again experiencing strong demand. Several brands have announced that they will be returning: Alhambra/Tormes Design and Tapicerias Gancedo are back on board for Heimtextil 2018. With Damaceno & Antues – Evo Interior Fabrics, a new brand from Portugal is represented. For the product group "wall", Vescom a leading supplier of wall coverings for the contract segment, has stated that it will return.
‘The segment of furnishing and upholstery fabrics continues to be much in demand. In halls 4.0 and 4.1, international manufacturers such as Luilor and Dina Vanelli will present their current collections. Given the consistently high demand, high-quality furnishing and upholstery fabrics will be given another presentation space in hall 4.2 for the first time in 2018. New companies there will include Textil Roig, Deltracon, Muvantex, Loro Piana, Tali and Renby is also returning to Heimtextil following a break. Another hugely promising highlight in hall 4.2 will be Trevira: for the first time in several years, the company will take part in a big community presentation with its CS partners.’
The product group ‘Sun’ is also characterised by many returnees: Oba Perdesan Perde Sanayi (Turkey) will present privacy and sun protection systems in hall 5.1 while major industry players MHZ Hachtel, Kadeco, Erfal and Buchheiste have registered, as has the Forest Group.
The digital print technology area in hall 6.0, which presents cutting-edge printing technologies for the home textile industry, is once again attracting a great deal of attention. Almost all market leaders have now registered, such as Hewlett Packard, Epson, Mimaki, Kornit and Reggiani. New exhibitors also include: Aleph, Monti Antonio and Veika, which will present Ecodeco, a new paper for wall design that is PVC-free and produced without the use of chemical plasticisers or other damaging additives.
The show takes place in Frankfurt from 9-12 January 2018.
