Sales grow at Housing Units
Investing in its expanded distribution centre reduced Housing Units profitability in the past year.
The Failsworth, Manchester retailer expanded its Oldham distribution centre as the first phase of a five year expansion plan which enabled it to carry more stock for immediate delivery, improve efficiencies and support growing store and online sales. The second phase will see the store expanded.
Turnover rose by 4.1% to £25.52m in the year to 26 March.
Pre-tax profits dropped from £1.938m to £1.167m.
Cash increased by £19,000 to £1.66m.
The company maintained its dividend of £1.5m.
