The Furniture Makers’ Company has boosted its corporate membership with a quartet of companies from the bed, fabric, flooring and office furniture sectors joining the interiors industry charity.
Fabric manufacturer Camira Fabrics, bed manufacturer Harrison Spinks, flooring distributor Headlam Group and office furniture manufacturer Ocee International have become corporate members.
‘We are delighted to welcome Camira, Harrison Spinks, Headlam and Ocee International as corporate members. Each of them represent very different sectors of the wider furnishing industry and is a clear indication that our work resonates across all sectors of the trade. Our corporate members are of the greatest importance to us – and to the future of furnishing. All members, individual or corporate, are invited to participate in the many events in the city livery calendar, which are great for networking, entertaining, as well as having fun,’ said Tony Smart, The Furniture Makers’ Company master.
‘We believe that it is important to invest in the industry and are very excited to be admitted to The Furniture Makers’ Company as corporate members. We look forward to getting involved with the amazing work it performs, including educating for the future and supporting past and present industry workers,’ said Grant Russell, Camira Fabrics ceo.
‘On behalf of the whole company, Harrison Spinks is delighted to be admitted to The Furniture Makers’ Company as corporate members. We look forward to taking an active role in the livery going forward and supporting the great work it does. The charity does an awful lot of good on behalf of the furniture industry, including funding apprenticeships, providing support with training new skills and of course the benevolent fund,’ said Ruairi Giles, Harrison Spinks commercial director.
‘Headlam is delighted to become a member of The Furniture Makers’ Company in recognition of the incredibly important work the company performs and the support it offers to the wider furnishing industry. Headlam will endeavour to work closely with The Furniture Makers’ Company to ensure this sector’s continued promotion and that its employees, past and present, are well represented and looked after,’ said Tony Judge, Headlam coo.
‘Ocee International believes that it is important to invest in the industry and we are delighted to support the charitable activities of The Furniture Makers' Company,’ said Kate Mulcahey, Ocee International group marketing director.
