iSalone: Alias offers naked or soft offer for Iko
Alias continued its partnership with French designer Patrick Norguet, to introduce Iko, a family of chairs that give tangible shape to the evolution of a program that started in 2012 with the Kobi collection.
The salient element of the desing is a smooth, curved shell, characterised by a strong diagonal sign on the sides, and made from a compact, structural plastic material. Connected to the shell is a tubular steel belt, which, besides serving as a mount for various structures, exalts the design of the armchair.
The shell is proposed in two main variants: “naked”, in a plastic material painted various colours, with the possibility to accommodate a fabric or leather upholstered cushion for the seat, and “soft”, in a plastic material co-formed with PU foam and covered with fabric or leather.
There is a choice of four legs, in steel or solid wood, or a three-legged base with casters.
