ScS sees like for like orders nudge up
Upholstery and flooring chain ScS has seen a small rise in like for like orders in the past year, with second half performance hit by the hot weather and uncertainty of the future of House of Fraser.
The group said total orders for the year to 28 July were up by 1.3%.
While first half like for like orders rose by 2.2%, they fell by 2.6% in the second half, resulting in a full-year rise of 0.2%.
The ScS stores saw full-year like for like order growth of 0.4% after half year performances of 2.5% and -2.5% respectively.
Its House of Fraser concessions, which made up 7.2% of orders, suffered a 4.3% drop in the second half, resulting in a full-year drop of 1.9%.
The group will release its full-year profits on 2 October.
