Decorex to return to central London amid date switch
Interiors trade exhibition Decorex is to return to central London next year, and move to a new month.
After four years at Syon Park, Brentford the show will move to Olympia London. The show had previously been held at the grounds of the Royal Chelsea Hospital for several years.
The date of Decorex will also shift to 6-9 October, coinciding with PAD and Frieze Art Fair. Organiser UBM said the week also brings with it a greater concentration of high-net-worth individuals, a distinct part of the show’s audience.
Sam Fisher, Decorex brand manager said: ‘Steeped in history and at the epicentre of Kensington’s prestigious art and design district, the move to Olympia will see us continue to define luxury interior design, presenting the most established brands and best up-and-coming names across the spectrum of design and making.
‘Decorex 2019 will introduce a number of new features and we will remain one of the foremost platforms for new ideas, industry insight and design innovation. Visitors will see our seminars and events programme developed even further with new ways for both exhibitors and visitors to interact with the show and each other. For 2019 we are significantly investing in an enhanced curatorial programme and exhibition design, ensuring the experience of our newly located show continues to lead the charge.’
