Judge to depart Headlam
Flooring distributor Headlam has confirmed the departure of Tony Judge, chief operating office, after 26 years with the group.
The group said Judge (pictured right with some of the group’s directors in the 2017 annual report) ‘is to step down from the board ahead of leaving the company in March 2019. During this period, Tony will continue to work with the company to provide an orderly transition of his duties.’
The group said it was beginning a search for a UK operations director to assume a number of the coo’s responsibilities.
Judge was promoted from commercial director of the Coleshill and Tamworth businesses such as Crucial Trading, Lifestyle Floors and Gaskell Wool Rich, in September 2016, when Steve Wilson, then Headlam finance director succeeded Tony Brewer as chief executive. Judge joined the board in March 2017.
‘On behalf of the board, I would like to express our appreciation to Tony for his considerable contribution over the last 26 years, and particularly during the past two years. The board and our colleagues across the group wish him well for the future,’ said Wilson.
