Quinones set to move to US role
Ikea’s UK and Ireland country retail manager is to take up the same role in the US.
Javier Quinones, who has only been in the UK role for eight months, will take up his new role on 1 March. He will succeed Lars Petersson, who is retiring after 36 years with the furniture retailer.
Quinones began working part0time at the chain’s Barcelona branch in 1997, before becoming sales manager, deputy store manager and then store manager by 2011.
In 2014 he became deputy retail manager for the UK and Ireland, before succeeding Gillian Drakeford in June 2018.
