Bucher ‘set to depart Debenhams’
Debenhams is set to have a new chief executive, days after its pre-pack administration saw its creditors take ownership of the chain.
Sergio Bucher is set to step down, with Terry Duddy, Debenhams chairman and former Home Retail Group chief executive being tipped to take over.
‘Having stayed on and got the refinancing in place, Sergio thinks now would be the right moment to move on. The upcoming restructuring can then be led by someone offering a fresh start,’ the BBC reported “a source close to Boucher”.
In January Sports Direct and Landmark combined to vote Bucher off the Debenhams board.
