Silentnight names Anderson to succeed Freeman

Silentnight Group has named former Farrow & Ball chief commercial officer Neil Anderson to head the bed manufacturer, succeeding outgoing md Steve Freeman.

Freeman had been md since September 2011 and will be an advisor to the group.

Anderson (pictured), who has been appointed group sales md, was most recently commercial director and then chief commercial officer for Farrow & Ball for six years until he left in November 2018. Previous roles include commercial director at BAA, responsible for developing all commercial activity at Edinburgh Airport, and five years at Scottish & Newcastle, including group sales development director.

The group has also recruited Ian Lambert as marketing director Silentnight brands. He was previously marketing director at Magnet owner Nobia UK since October 2010. He succeeds Nick Booth (also a former Magnet marketing director) who moved to Harrison Spinks in April after seven years in the role.
