Topps sees sales growth rise

ToppsBistroTopps Tiles has seen another quarter of increasing like for like sales.

Like for like sales rose by 3.8% in the quarter to 29 June. This compares with a drop of 2.3% in the same period a year earlier and 1.8% rise in the previous quarter.  

‘The business performed well over the third quarter with like-for-like sales growing by 3.8%. While this is in part due to a softer trading period in the prior year we are encouraged that the successful execution of our strategy is delivering good trading results,’ says Matthew Williams, Topps Tiles ceo.

The company says it has launched 25 ranges this year, with those launched in the last 12 months accounting for 20% of sales.

Its customer feedback system, ‘Tile Talk, launched at the start of the year has seen feedback scores of 87%. It expects two-thirds of its 365 stores will be updated with its current merchandising by the end of the financial year.
