Carpetright to close high street branches
Carpetright is to close its high street stores later on Monday.
The chain said high street branches would close at 6pm but its out of town stores would remain open, but with reduced opening hours.
‘In light of the current government guidance we have decided to temporarily close our smaller high street stores from 6pm on Monday 23rd March. However, we would like to reassure customers that our teams will still be available, and this will not affect any orders already placed,’ it says.
‘In addition, we will not currently be accepting any new appointments for our home flooring surveyors to visit customers’ homes. Our larger out-of-town retail stores will remain open, but on reduced trading hours, as we work to fulfil outstanding customer orders.
‘We encourage our customers to continue to shop with us online and via our telesales team. For those who need to visit a store, we kindly ask that you adhere to the social distancing guidelines. We would like to reassure you that the health and safety of our colleagues, customers and their families is our top priority.
‘The majority of our stores currently remain open for business. However if things change, we will keep our local store pages up to date with any revised opening hours and / or local store closures and request that customers check our store pages before planning a visit.’
