TFC switches production to NHS
The Foam Company is producing more than 1,000 mattresses a week for the NHS.
‘The staff wanted to support the NHS and to fulfil the outstanding demand. As the weeks have progressed, this demand continues as new orders and scheduled time frames are committed to. It is clear to see how the teamwork has given everyone the drive to help in these challenging times. Our staff and customers’ health and safety are paramount and necessary changes in working had to be implemented to keep the team safe in the factory. I want to personally thank all our staff for their amazing effort,’ says Chris Nash, The Foam Company chairman.
‘Our Abingdon factory is now focusing on fulfilling orders for the healthcare sector and production capacity is prioritizing our healthcare division. Our ability to quickly adapt our manufacturing capability to now helping the NHS is due to a dedicated and efficient team effort from all our manufacturing staff. We are proud of our employees who genuinely care about contributing in this crisis,’ says Jon Baker, The Foam Company factory director.
