Seashell Trust gets Portfolio Home support
Bedding and textiles manufacturer Portfolio Home has donated products to a charity which supports children and young adults with complex learning disabilities and additional communication needs from across the UK.
The Seashell Trust operates the residential Royal School Manchester and Royal College Manchester for those aged between two and 25.
The company has donated around 400 products including bed sheets, duvet covers pillowcases and towels to help prepare to welcome new children and young people into the residential homes this month.
‘We would like to express our sincere thanks for the offer of support in providing bedding items to our children and young people at Seashell in residential care. For children and young people who require residential care, our thoughtfully designed accommodation offers a highly personalised and specialist environment, fully adapted to meet the complex needs of the children and young people placed with us. This kind donation of fun and imaginative bedding will help to brighten up all their rooms,’ says Dominic Tinner, Seashell Trust head of fundraising.
‘We’re very proud to know that our products will make these young people’s lives that little bit better and help them settle into their new homes. More than ever, we understand the need to play our role in supporting important causes. Due to the Covid‐19 pandemic, many charities have suffered through lack of support from both businesses and people alike ‐ as there is simply less money available and a feeling of uncertainty going around,’ says Paul Callan, Portfolio Home md.
