Profitability crashed for Chinese furniture manufacturers
Chinese furniture manufacturers saw profitability crash by more than a quarter in the first eight months of the year after a double-digit drop in sales.
Profitability fell by 27.3% to £2.21bn after sales dropped 11.1% to £45bn, according to Chinese government statistics.
The number of items produced dropped by 7.7% to 544.1million.
In August product showed signs of recovery with production increasing by 10.8% to 81.4million pieces.
