Carpetright shuts stores in England
Carpetright has finally closed its branches to the public in England.
The chain kept its stores open when the second lockdown in England began, and after the UK Government’s advice was updated, and other non-essential retailers which had kept their stores open closed branches, Carpetright continued to allow shoppers to visit stores by adopting an appointment-only policy.
As of this morning this was ended.
Staff are still working at stores offering video appointments and consumers can still collect flooring from branches, with non-essential stores allowed to offer click and collect facilities.
Fitting and at-home visits are permitted by the current pandemic regulations.
