Nolte Mobel turns to Andrew Porter for delivery
The UK arm of German bedroom manufacturer Nolte Mobel has turned to Andrew Porter for its deliveries, hoping to cut lead times by three weeks.
The logistics firm will carry out Nolte Mobel's warehousing, logistics and installations in the UK and Ireland from September.
'When I joined nine months ago I undertook a thorough review of the company's structure and processes, identifying some areas for improvement as well as successful elements to retain. Our logistics provision is something I felt should be put in the hands of experts, to provide a much more efficient service for our customers,' says Geoff Hawkes, Nolte Mobel UK md.
'Andrew Porter is based close to the motorway network, making it an ideal delivery hub, and it has already invested in a high quality warehouse, fleet and equipment to ensure our products will be handled with care and delivered quickly to our customers on dates to suit them. The company already works with some of the industry's best-known names for warehousing, distribution and customer communication, giving them the necessary level of experience we require.
'This is the first step in our bid to improve those areas of our business which require attention, while retaining and building on the elements which have made us the UK's leading provider of contemporary wardrobes and bedroom furniture. We are also considering relocating from our premises in Skipton to a more central location, closer to transport links and accommodation for the convenience of our customers and our international partners.'
