Furniture inflation eases again

The annual inflation rate for household furniture eased for the second successive month in October.

The rate fell from 14.1% to 13.7%: the lowest rate since December 2021 (12.5%).

A year ago the rate was 11.3%.

The rate for garden furniture dropped from 14.2% to 14.1%. The rate for lighting was unchanged at 7.6%, according to ONs data.

The overall furniture and furnishings rate fell from 12.7% to 12.6%.
