Brühl goes carbon neutral
Upholstery manufacturer Brühl has been declared as carbon neutral.
The German manufacturer has become a member of the German Quality Assurance Association climate pact and has calculated its CO2 footprint for the financial year 2016 and compensated 1,283 tons of CO2 in line with the GQAA’s Gold Standard.
The company’s carbon footprint is based on direct and indirect emissions as well as emissions resulting from the daily operations and the product life cycle.
It has also arranged for 1,300 trees to be plated as part of the Plant-For-The-Planet initiative.
In 2002 Brühl earned the Bavarian Environmental Medal for its contributions towards environmental protection and regional development, before being awarded the Blue Angel eco-label in 2009.
