The value of furniture and lighting sales edged up in May, and was higher than a year earlier.
Sales in England, Scotland and Wales rose by 0.47% compared with April 2025, reaching £1,176,103,000, according to ONS data.
Sales were 2.5% higher than May 2024.
The figures are not seasonally adjusted, do not take inflation into account and are subject to revision.
