Bespoke furniture company The Rusland Movement plans to open a showroom in Greater Manchester.
Planning permission on behalf of the Lake District company has been lodged to refurbish a former art gallery in Altrincham town centre.
The application says The Rusland Movement will use the ground floor and basement of the Grade II Listed building on Railway Street. Because of its listed status and location in a conservation area, planning permission is required for the work, including replacing non-original windows and a external door.
The company has a showroom in Ulverston as part of its manufacturing base.
Every commission is delivered and installed by the cabinetmaker who worked on it and all of its products bear a certificate of authentication, signed by the designer and the cabinetmaker.
