Oak Furnitureland is seeking a new permanent cfo after Patrick Lewis stepped down after 11 months.
The great-grandson of John Lewis founder John Spedan Lewis had been cfo at John Lewis between 2015 and 2020 and then took on a number of non-executive roles.
‘We are sad to see Patrick step down from his role as cfo. He has been a key part of the leadership team and a real champion of our business. We’re grateful for the impact he’s made during his time at Oak Furnitureland and wish him the very best as he takes more time to focus on his non-executive commitments and his family,’ says Alex Fisher, Oak Furnitureland ceo.
The Davidson Kempner Capital Management owned company has named Grayham Dibb-Fuller as interim cfo, saying he had ‘extensive retail and consumer experience, which will be invaluable as we continue to focus on delivering the next phase of growth.’
The chain saw pre-tax losses narrow from £31.9m to £17.1m in the year to the end of June 2024. Turnover fell 17% to £236m.
‘I am encouraged by our performance during the last 10 months and the clear progress that we’re making against our strategic plan since we last reported our financial results,’ says Fisher.
