Lorezna Luti, Kartell marketing and retail director has been promoted to global brand director.
Luti has been central to the Italian company’s evolution from a product company into a full lifestyle brand.
Last month’s Salone saw Kartell debut 25 products; introduced Barber Osgerby to its design roster, with the Savoia chair marking one of the most significant new creative partnerships the brand has made in several years, and unveiled a bathroom collection with Luafen that brought the iconic Componibili into a new room.
‘You can see in Italy, there are beautiful brands from the past that have lost their value or their identity because they haven’t done anything new in the past 20 years. So, they have a good collection from the past, but they didn’t have anything new, and so they are dying a little bit. This we cannot permit. We have always to keep up the investments to build the company for the future,’ she told Interiors Monthly last year.
