Another Country returns home

Furniture retailer and manufacturer Another Country has opened its second showroom, returning to the birthplace of the brand.

The company has seen the shift towards remote working and contemporary country living and opened its second showroom in a converted barn in Semley, Dorset.

‘We are really excited to be opening a showroom in Dorset, where our brand originated from,’ says Paul de Zwart, Another Country founder.

‘Over the past few years the West Country has become home to world-class art and hospitality destinations, witnessed the growth of a thriving food and maker scene, and seen many new people call this area home, especially within the area bordered by Bath, Salisbury and Shaftesbury. It just makes sense to go west rather than expecting people to always come to London [the location of its first store] or shop online.’

As well as its furniture collection, the showroom has mattresses from Naturalmat; textiles and throws from Mourne Textiles; cutlery and kitchen essentials by David Mellor, hand-turned bowls by Bird & Branch; rugs from Armadillo & Co, lighting by Workstead and artwork by David Murphy.
