The Step 2 It Charity Ball has helped the interiors industry charity Furniture Makers’ Company beat its fundraising target.
Almost 100 guests attended the ball on 25 March, raising £16,800 for the Step 2 It campaign. Step 2 It has been the charity’s largest fundraising push, which has been running since May 2021 and will end this month. Step 2 It has encouraged companies and individuals to organise sports-based challenges in aid of the charity. The final amount raised for the Step 2 It campaign will be announced in May, but the figure has already surpassed the charity’s £250,000 target.
The ball took place at the Landmark London hotel in Marylebone, with a drinks reception, four course dinner, an auction hosted by Eric Knowles and dancing.
‘My thanks to everyone who attended the Step 2 It Ball and helped us raise such a phenomenal figure. The surroundings were superb, the food was excellent, and everyone looked like they had fun and enjoyed a great evening – we really did have a ball,’ says David Woodward, Furniture Makers’ Company master.
