Roy Beagent, Minerva Furniture Group business manager has retired from the buying group after 22 years.
Beagent had been instrumental in the development of the business becoming one of the largest furniture buying group’s in the UK, with 175 members.
Beagent will focus on spending more time with his family, as well as travelling and is favourite pastime of road cycling.
Beagent has handed over the running of the business to Jim Orr, who joined in January as group chief executive, and who is focussed on taking the business to the next stage of its development.
‘It is a privilege to take over from Roy, who has done an amazing job of driving the business to its current level. Minerva now offers its member’s leading furniture and accessory suppliers, and products from around the world, with fantastic member benefits. Roy will be missed by our members, and suppliers whom he has held some very long, and lasting friendships,’ says Orr.
‘The directors and myself all wish Roy a very happy, and enjoyable retirement.’
