Bensons for Beds has introduced a range of mattresses and beds targeted at shoppers facing constraints on household budgets.
The Simply by Bensons range has a five-year guarantee and double size mattress range from £189.99 for the open coil 325-spring count Happy to £329.99 for the pocket-sprung 600 spring count Beam.
‘We’ve listened carefully to what people are looking for and they told us they want quality, style and affordability combined with sustainability and individuality. We understand the constraints many customers will be facing in the coming months and the new range gives them more options,’ says Lara Purcell, Bensons marketing and innovations director.
In August the chain introduced an exclusive range from Hypnos to widen its ‘your bed, your way’ personalisation service.
The move came as administrators for Eve Sleep revealed that Bensons doubled its initial offer to buy the brand and IP of the collapsed mattress company.
It initially offered £300,000 before agreeing to pay £494,999 for the IP and £100,000 for contacts. The creditors report shows that Eve owned about £2.8m, including £2.4m of unsecured creditors and £400,000 to HMRC.
