TETRAD
Tetrad Furniture is delighted to have been named Best Fabric Upholstery Manufacturer (Luxury), a recognition that reflects the continued support of its retail partners and the dedication of the team behind the brand.
For almost 60 years, Tetrad has been manufacturing premium upholstery from its Lancashire factory, combining traditional craftsmanship with continuous product innovation. Every sofa, chair and footstool is handcrafted by skilled upholsterers using carefully selected materials, resulting in collections that offer retailers exceptional quality, distinctive design and lasting appeal.
While the business remains firmly rooted in its heritage, the past year has marked a period of investment and development. With a strengthened leadership team and continued focus on manufacturing, product design and customer support, Tetrad is well positioned to meet the evolving needs of its retail partners.
Backed by reliable lead times and consistent service, the company continues to
invest in both its people and its product offering, ensuring retailers can buy with confidence.
At one of Tetrad’s strongest January Furniture Show presentations to date, several new collections generated significant interest and strong order volumes. Among the highlights was Dakota, a design inspired by the character and warmth of vintage woven rugs. Upholstered in tactile 100% wool fabrics featuring rich texture and organic patterning, the collection offers retailers a distinctive upholstery option that taps into the continued demand for natural materials and relaxed, layered interiors.
The launch also introduced the Nappa and Merino accent chairs, bringing a new dimension to the Tetrad portfolio. Crafted from 100% New Zealand sheepskin, both designs showcase the inherent beauty of this premium natural material. Nappa features a luxurious long-pile finish that is invitingly tactile, while Merino offers a refined cut-pile texture for a more contemporary aesthetic.
Tetrad has also expanded its long-standing Harris Tweed collection with the introduction of Bute, reinforcing one of the industry’s most recognised collaborations. Upholstered in authentic handwoven Harris Tweed, produced exclusively in the Outer Hebrides, Bute delivers the timeless appeal of British craftsmanship while offering another versatile model in a successful collection.
The Spink & Edgar collection greeted the arrival of Greta, combining refined proportions with luxurious comfort. Launching in a selection of rich coffee and chocolate-toned velvets, the fabric’s soft handle and subtle lustre enhance the sophisticated styling, creating a premium offer that sits comfortably in both classic and contemporary retail environments.
‘We are delighted to have won this award. We remain committed to providing retailers with handcrafted upholstery that combines commercial appeal, manufacturing excellence and the enduring quality that has defined the brand for nearly six decades. Customers can see many of the new collections at Long Point in September and hear more about how the business is moving into an exciting new chapter,’ says Rowena Allen, Tetrad head of sales and marketing.
