For the fourteenth consecutive year Interiors Monthly readers have voted Cormar Carpet Company the Best UK Carpet Manufacturer.

From new product launches and range developments to continued investment in our manufacturing, distribution and digital services, it is fantastic for the whole Cormar team to be recognised once again for the hard work and dedication they have put in.    2026 is a landmark year for the company. Founded in 1956 by Neville Cormack, the business has grown from humble beginnings in Lancashire to become the UK’s largest independent carpet manufacturer. Throughout its history, Cormar has remained committed to its family values – key to its success – while continually investing in products, service and manufacturing to meet the changing needs of its customers.

   Over the past 12 months, Cormar has continued to strengthen its product portfolio, most recently with the launch of Trilogy, an addition to its wool loop-pile collection, which has already been welcomed by retailers and consumers alike. Two established favourites – Natural Berber Twist and Primo Naturals – have also been refreshed with updated colour palettes designed to complement modern interior trends.

   Cormar’s commitment to product excellence has also been recognised by consumers, with its Silken Serenity range being awarded Best Bedroom Flooring at the Ideal Home Awards 2026. The award highlights the continuing appeal of the luxurious soft-touch carpet and further reinforces Cormar’s reputation for high-quality flooring for the home.

   Another service enhancement is Cormar’s award-winning trade portal. Since its launch in 2011, the online portal has gone from strength to strength, with more than 70% of customers placing orders via the service. It continues to benefit from ongoing investment and development, helping retailers manage their businesses more efficiently through a range of industry-leading features and after-sales support tools.

   To further enhance service levels, Cormar has continued to invest in its distribution network. Its fleet of more than 70 vehicles, all owned and operated by the company, ensures customers continue to receive the high standards of delivery and service that are synonymous with the brand. Alongside, continued investment in manufacturing processes and IT infrastructure across its Lancashire sites has delivered further improvements in efficiency and quality.

   Sustainability continues to play a central role at Cormar. Over the past year, the company has continued its partnership with Innovate Recycle and was the first major carpet manufacturer to achieve full certification for recyclable polypropylene carpet ranges. This important achievement demonstrates Cormar’s commitment to supporting a more circular economy whilst maintaining its quality standards.
