Bensons for Beds customers have raised another £189,000 for the British Heart Foundation through the chain’s donation scheme.
Customers can donate their bed, mattress or bedroom furniture to the charity. In the past year it took the total raised to £7.37m since the scheme began in 2013.
The charity has undertaken 79,000 collections of furniture that might otherwise have been thrown away, saving 3,864 tonnes of items from landfill.
