Home office and office furniture manufacturer Bisley has opened its first showroom in the north of England.
The company has opened a 2,900sqft store on Mosley Street, Manchester. It covers two
two floors of the Calico building, a recently restored former industrial warehouse, and reflects strong demand from the north of England and Scotland.
The opening follows the appointment of Scott Douglas as its first northern sales director.
‘The opening of the Manchester showroom is an important step for us. Our industry as a whole can sometimes feel very London focused, but with a rapidly growing customer base in the north, it has always been important for Bisley to be represented in all the areas of the UK where we are witnessing expansion,’ he says.
‘The north of England and Scotland are currently experiencing huge market growth and we want to get ahead of the curve. In particular, we are keen to immerse ourselves in Manchester’s buzzing design and architectural community, and for our northern showroom to have a character and personality that is distinct from our original London showroom. I think we have achieved that, and more.’
The Bisley Home Space at the Manchester showroom follows the launch of Bisley Home at Clerkenwell Design Week in May, where the company showcased its full range of domestic interiors collections and products.
‘Opening in Manchester has been a long-held goal of ours, and what a stunning venue to showcase our products. We loved that, like Bisley, the Calico building has a prestigious and rich history, but has been remodelled and refreshed for a modern, contemporary audience. We’re really excited to be bringing our brand to Manchester and to give our customers a new base to visit,’ says Richard Costin, Bisley ceo.
