Alex Butler, The Flooring Show group exhibition director is to leave the show after almost six years in charge.
Butler is moving to a new role within organiser Ocean Media Group.
‘I just wanted to let you know that I start a new role at Ocean Media from next week, so I won’t be involved with The Flooring Show moving forward. I leave you in the very capable hands of Suzy Makin, sales director who will continue to do a fantastic job running things in my absence.,’ she says in a letter to exhibitors last week.
Butler has been at Ocean Media Group since October 2008, joining as a sales executive on The National Wedding Shows. She became event director for TFS and London Stationary Show in September 2019, before her promotion to group exhibition director Housing, Homes UK, Unlock Net Zero and The Flooring Show in December 2023.
