Cesar returns to full family ownership

High-end living, dining and kitchen retailer and manufacturer Cesar has returned to 100% family ownership as it looks to boost its international presence under a new management team.

Following the death of the company’s longstanding partner Michele Dalla Libera, the founding Cester family has seen its full ownership restored.

‘Last December, we unexpectedly lost our partner Michele Dalla Libera. By leaving his shareholding to me, he ensured the continuity of what we had built together. He has our enduring gratitude. Everything achieved over the past decade, made possible also thanks to his contribution, now deserves renewed strategic and organisational momentum. My responsibility toward the company, its people and all stakeholders made it clear that strengthening the top-level structure was an essential step,’ says Gina Cester, Cesar ceo.

Maurizio Vianello has been recruited as general manager, reporting to Cester. ‘His experience will allow us to reinforce our organisation and processes, leveraging the passion of our people and the significant investments made to date. I am pleased and look ahead with confidence,’ she says.

‘I am honoured to join the Cesar team and thank Gina for her trust. In recent years, Cesar has invested extensively in product development and technology to guarantee the highest levels of quality and operational flexibility for its clients. My role will be to enhance this work, accelerating business development and consolidating the brand’s reputation in its reference markets.,’ says Vianello.

2025 was a year of stability for the company in the face of market difficulties, with steady sales in north America and Europe outside Italy. It has strengthened its presence in the US, France, Spain and South Korea and seen furniture sales come to account for 20% of sales.

It has five flagship stores, 14 monobrand showrooms and a distribution network across more than 40 countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
