Challenges facing HR to be recognised again

AI, mental health, financial distress among employees and apprenticeship recruitment will be among the topics of the Routes to a Stronger Workforce 2025 conference.

The event is the fifth annual conference aimed at HR professionals working in the furniture and furnishing industry.

Sponsored by Blum UK and organised by The Furniture Makers’ Company, it takes place on 10 July at Furniture Makers’ Hall, London from 10am-3pm.

Tickets are £30 for non-members and free for members of The Furniture Makers’ Company. They can be booked online via Eventbrite.

The conference will be chaired by Emma Welch, Ocee International group HR director and will feature expert-led sessions on topics such as debt management, mental health, and apprenticeship recruitment. Amanda Chadwick, General Osteopathic Council HR manager and HR Inform speaker will lead the keynote session on the evolving role of HR amid the rise of AI, while also clarifying recent changes to employment legislation.
