Charity curry night marks milestone

The 10th annual Furniture Makers’ Company Yorkshire Curry Night marked its milestone by raising £2,900 for the industry charity.

The event, organised by the charity’s Yorkshire Region, was held at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and welcomed more than 100 guests.

They evening of networking and camaraderie began in the Tournament Gallery where the suit of armour made for Henry V11 for his meeting with the King of France at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520 is on display.

‘Reaching the tenth anniversary of the Yorkshire Curry Night is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the ongoing support of our industry. It was wonderful to see so many new supporters and familiar faces come together to celebrate, network, and raise funds for such an important cause,’ says Jessica Alexander, Yorkshire Region chairman.

‘We are grateful to Jay-Be and Litmus Furniture for generously sponsoring the drinks reception, as well as to all the companies and individuals who sponsored the event or donated prizes for the raffle, helping to make the tenth anniversary Curry Night such a success.’
