Charity pledge marks eighth decade of support

West Sussex flooring retailer Wall Bros has renewed its charity partnership for the eighth decade.

The Worthing and Storrington retailer has chosen social care charity Guild Care as is charity of 2025: something it has been doing since the 1950s.

Wall Bros co-founder Cyril Wall began the company in 1957, and before partnering with Guild Care-the known as Worthing Council of Social Service -was a was a volunteer driver for charity.

‘Supporting Guild Care is in the DNA of Wall Bros,’ says Ashley Horne, Wall Bros owner. ‘Over many years, we’ve seen firsthand the help it provides for local people and the incredible difference that can make. Just as three generations of Wall Bros owners have supported Guild Care, there must be many families that have been supported by Guild Care over at least three generations,’ says the former ACG vice-chairman.

‘It’s been amazing to learn that our friends at Wall Bros have so many historical connections with Guild Care over the decades. Year on year, its team has sponsored numerous fundraising events and we’re extremely grateful to be the chosen charity again for 2025. Thank you to everyone at Wall Bros for all the support over the decades and hopefully in the years ahead – you really are one of our most valued charity champions,’ says Daryl Wollers, Guild Care corporate development and partnership officer.
