Almost a quarter of Britons would be happy to support a full ban on the sale of artificial grass lawns.
More than half of households would never have one installed in their garden, according to a survey from tradesperson website Mybuilder.com.
Support for a ban ranged from 9% in Newcastle to 38% in Bristol, with 24% saying limits should be introduced.
The number of installations fell by 48% in 2022, although this is likely to be a reflection of higher installations during pandemic lockdowns.
