The number of visitors to Flanders Flooring Days jumped by more than 60%, as the event looks to re-invent itself for 2024.
From 22 to 25 May, the 10 participating companies saw 1,553 visitors.
For 2024, the event will add the Kortrijk Xpo exhibition centre for non-Flemish companies: this year’s event saw Betap and Condor join eight Flanders companies with temporary showrooms in the area.
‘The core of the Flanders Flooring Days remains the same: visitors from all over the world will be able to visit the Flemish flooring manufacturers in their home showrooms. The reason for the expansion is we want to answer the demand from other European players to take part in this new concept. Flanders Flooring Days 2024 will continue to distinguish itself not only with this unique concept of showroom visits combined with a central showroom hub, but also with the ambience and welcoming hospitality Flanders has to offer. Flanders is not only the host of this event, it is also its main asset. Which will make the stay of all visitors truly remarkable,’ says Barbara Lagae, Kortrijk Xpo, director fair operations and innovation.
The 2024 event will take place from 13-16 May, which could see it overlap with or take place in the same week as the Buying Group’s National Floor Show. The 2024 dates for BGNFS have yet to be decided as the buying groups are consulting with members if they want a mid-week event or a Sunday/Monday show.
