The value of retail flooring sales enjoyed a double-digit increase in July.
Sales in England, Scotland and Wales were £228,342,000 in July, according to Office for National Statistics data.
This compares with £203,848,000 in July 2022: a rise of 12%.
Compared with June 2023, sales followed the historical trend and were 7.13% lower.
Of the 451 months since January 1986 when comparable date began, July 2023 saw the 42nd highest value of sales.
The figures are not seasonally adjusted, do not allow for inflation and are subject to revision.
