Retail flooring price inflation rose to almost double-digits in July, reversing June’s fall.
The rate rose from 9.1% to 9.9%. In July 2022 it was 6.4%.
Carpets and rugs were again responsible for most of the increase, with the inflation rate rising from 9.4% to 10.6%. In July 2022 it was 4.9%.
Smooth flooring continued its helter-skelter pattern of recent months, falling from 10.3% to 7.3%. In July 2022 it was 16.9%, according to Office for National Statistics data.
