Non-food retail footfall showed a significant boost in the past week but was still significantly down on 2019.
Footfall was down 17.7% in the week to 2 October. However, this was a major improvement on the 28.1% drop the previous week.
Retailer parks were once again the best performer, with footfall down 9.6%. Shopping centres saw a 21.5% drop in shoppers while high streets were down 17.7%.
The south-west of England and Wales was the best performing area, with footfall down 15.3%, according to the Ipsos Retail Traffic Index.
