Upholstery chain Sofology has deepened its relationship with architect and TV presenter George Clarke.
The retailer has designed Sapporo in collaboration with Clarke, his fourth collection for the DFS Group chain.
The design takes its influence from Clarke’s love of the simplicity of Japanese design.
‘I love how the curvilinear shape is emphasised by the quilted arms and sides, creating a comfy yet sensory collection you want to relax into,’ he says.
‘The sleek aerofoil legs add a clean design touch, creating a truly beautiful sofa. The compact footprint of the sofa creates an alluring silhouette, while being one of the comfiest sofas I’ve sat on.’
The collection includes sofas, chairs, corner units and footstools. It will be debuted at the end of February.
